Movement Assessment

Medical Fitness and Wellness Group is proud to offer the Functional Movement Assessment as the first step in our Corrective Exercise program. Movement assessments are based on sound human movement science, and are the cornerstone of a comprehensive and integrated assessment process.

Movement represents the integrated functioning of many systems within the human body, primarily the muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems. these systems form an integrated triad that, when operating correctly, allows for optimal structural alignment, neuromuscular control and movement.

We will perform a full gait analysis, movement assessment including a “Squat Analysis” and a kinetic chain muscle assessment using our state-of-the-art  Redcord System to find the weak muscles of your deep inner core, the “root” cause of pain, and finally, find out what is limiting you to live a PAIN-FREE lifestyle that you so deserve!

Benefits of a Movement Assessment

  • Builds strong core
  • Low impact
  • Great for all age groups and skill levels

  • Helps reduce the risk of training and sports injuries
  • Keeps you strong and mobile through-out your life which gives you ability to do the things you enjoy doing.

Why should I do a Movement Assessment? I have no pain?

Did you know that Each and every day, we are constantly doing activities that create muscle imbalances in the body. From sleeping on one side, sitting for long periods of time, or participating in sports like tennis and golf, our bodies slowly develop strengths and weaknesses that eventually lead to asymmetry in the body. When these posture and movement imbalances are present in the body, we can be more susceptible to chronic pain and injuries. Poor movement mechanics of any kind of sets the stage for injury, and ill health.

For those that are experiencing some pain, in many cases, the pain you’re experiencing now is often the result of a series of small events that, when looked at as a whole, leads to the real reason you’re experiencing pain and may not be coming directly from the source. Muscle imbalance, poor flexibility and movement issues are often the root cause of pain AND the reason you have chronic pain.
